Expert Furnace Repair in Houston Metro Area, TX

When a cold front sweeps through the Houston Metro area, a furnace that sat idle all summer can fail fast. Primo Air Masters diagnoses and repairs gas and electric furnaces across Houston, North Houston, Cypress, The Woodlands, Katy, Spring, Tomball, Humble, Conroe, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Bellaire, West University, the Galleria, and the Memorial Area. Houston furnaces face a pattern other regions rarely see: months of inactivity followed by sudden, intense demand. That idle time allows dust to collect on flame sensors, igniters to weaken, and blower motors to seize. Many Houston homes also sit in high-humidity conditions that can corrode internal components while the system is off. We inspect the ignition system, flame sensor, heat exchanger, blower motor, gas valve, and thermostat connection to find the actual cause of the problem. We treat every customer with honesty, professionalism, and integrity, so you get a straight answer about what your furnace needs before any work begins. Call Primo Air Masters when your furnace stops performing.

Furnace Repair FAQ

Common questions about furnace repair in Houston Metro Area, TX.

A dirty flame sensor is one of the most common causes of cold air from a furnace in Houston. The sensor gets coated with dust during the long off-season and can no longer confirm the burner has lit, so the system shuts off the gas as a safety measure.

A burning smell at first startup is often dust burning off components that sat idle through Houston's long cooling season. If the smell continues past the first few minutes, a technician should inspect the system for a more serious issue.

Repair is often the right call when the problem is a single failed component such as an igniter, flame sensor, or blower motor. A technician can inspect your furnace and give you an honest comparison of repair versus replacement so you can decide with clear information.

Short-cycling in Cypress homes is frequently caused by a clogged air filter that blocks airflow and triggers the furnace's high-limit safety switch. A technician will check the filter, flame sensor, and airflow path to find the exact cause.

Yes, Houston's elevated humidity can corrode metal components and degrade electrical connections inside a furnace during the months it sits unused. A professional inspection can catch this corrosion before it causes a failure during a cold snap.

A yellow or orange burner flame, a sulfur or rotten-egg odor, or visible soot around the furnace are signs that need immediate professional attention in Spring or anywhere in the Houston Metro area. Turn the system off and call a heating contractor right away.

I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a professional and honest A/C repair service. Our outside unit was not working and our house reached 89 degrees. Mario was able to come out the same day I called him and get our unit working. We just bought our house last year and he was able to educate us on the age of our system and recommended when we should think about getting it replaced since we bought an older home and the outside unit is definitely aged. We have a home warranty program but in the future we will be calling Machorro Multiservices for our A/C needs.

This was my first time to work with Primo. They were on time as scheduled. They prepped the work area to protect the furniture and carpeting and cleaned up afterwards. they were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about our needs and in the installation of our new unit. Should we have need for an additional unit in the future we will certainly use them.

Absolutely outstanding service from Primo Air Master. The first company we called said that the blower motor died and that our unit was too old to repair. They gave us an estimate for it to be completely replaced for $5500-$7500. We called Mario for a second opinion and he found that the blower motor was fine and that the problem was actually the capacitor. He made that repair and completed a summer service on the unit for a fraction of the cost. What stands out more than the repair and the cost saving is their INTEGRITY. They are experts providing legitimate repairs instead of companies scamming customers with unnecessary new equipment, expensive service plans, and working on commission. Additionally, they were responsive, timely, and friendly. Don’t be fooled by those larger companies because this smaller business will take better care of you.
