Air conditioning contractor in Galleria, TX

The Galleria area, also known as Uptown Houston, is a high-density mixed-use district approximately six miles west of downtown, anchored by the Galleria mall and surrounded by a dense concentration of high-rise residential towers, luxury condominiums, townhomes, and commercial office buildings. The property type mix here is unlike any other area in the service territory: multi-story condos and high-rises have centralized building systems or individual fan coil units rather than traditional split systems, while the townhomes and low-rise residences along San Felipe and Post Oak corridors use conventional ducted AC equipment. Cooling loads in this urban environment are elevated by the heat island effect, where dense pavement, glass towers, and limited green space push ambient temperatures several degrees higher than surrounding suburban areas. Rooftop and balcony-mounted equipment in high-rise buildings also faces direct sun exposure and wind-driven debris that accelerates wear on condenser components.

AC Service for Galleria Condos, Townhomes, and High-Rise Units

The Galleria area's urban heat island effect means outdoor temperatures around condenser units are consistently higher than in surrounding neighborhoods. A condenser operating in a rooftop or balcony location with full sun exposure and limited airflow works harder than the same unit in a shaded suburban yard. We account for this when assessing system performance and recommending maintenance intervals for Galleria properties.

Townhomes in the Galleria area, particularly those built in the 1980s and 1990s along corridors like Afton Oaks and Briargrove, have duct systems that were designed for equipment no longer in production. Replacing a system in a multi-story townhome requires careful attention to duct sizing and airflow balance across floors, because an imbalanced system will cool the ground floor well and leave upper floors uncomfortable. We check airflow at every register before closing out an installation.

We bring the same honesty and professionalism to a Galleria high-rise unit as we do to a suburban home. You get a clear estimate, a signed contract, and final payment only after the work is complete. We explain what we found and what we recommend without pressure.

Every service, available in Galleria, TX

Air conditioning service and repair in the Galleria area must account for the area's diverse property types. Townhomes along San Felipe and in Afton Oaks use conventional ducted split systems that need standard maintenance, repair, and eventual replacement. High-rise condominiums often have individual fan coil units or mini-split air conditioning systems serving individual units, which require different service approaches than a traditional residential system. Mini-split installation is also in demand for Galleria-area townhomes adding home offices or flex rooms that fall outside the reach of the existing duct layout. Heating service is relevant here as well, since the same equipment that cools these properties through Houston's long summer must also provide reliable heat during winter cold snaps.

I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a professional and honest A/C repair service. Our outside unit was not working and our house reached 89 degrees. Mario was able to come out the same day I called him and get our unit working. We just bought our house last year and he was able to educate us on the age of our system and recommended when we should think about getting it replaced since we bought an older home and the outside unit is definitely aged. We have a home warranty program but in the future we will be calling Machorro Multiservices for our A/C needs.

This was my first time to work with Primo. They were on time as scheduled. They prepped the work area to protect the furniture and carpeting and cleaned up afterwards. they were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about our needs and in the installation of our new unit. Should we have need for an additional unit in the future we will certainly use them.

Absolutely outstanding service from Primo Air Master. The first company we called said that the blower motor died and that our unit was too old to repair. They gave us an estimate for it to be completely replaced for $5500-$7500. We called Mario for a second opinion and he found that the blower motor was fine and that the problem was actually the capacitor. He made that repair and completed a summer service on the unit for a fraction of the cost. What stands out more than the repair and the cost saving is their INTEGRITY. They are experts providing legitimate repairs instead of companies scamming customers with unnecessary new equipment, expensive service plans, and working on commission. Additionally, they were responsive, timely, and friendly. Don’t be fooled by those larger companies because this smaller business will take better care of you.

Primo Air Masters has serviced my family's home for many years. Mr Mario Machorro and his staff has always done an outstanding job on my family's HVAC needs. The technicians are very professional and courteous, and they do an excellent job. I would highly recommend this company to my family and friends (and already have).

Air Conditioning Contractor FAQ for Galleria, TX

Common questions from Galleria, TX customers about our services, process, and coverage.

Yes. Fan coil units are common in Galleria-area high-rise condominiums and operate differently from conventional split systems, but they still require regular maintenance including coil cleaning, filter replacement, and drain pan inspection. We service both fan coil units and conventional split systems in the Galleria area.

Multi-story townhomes in the Galleria area often have duct systems that were not balanced when the equipment was last replaced, or the original duct layout favors the ground floor. Heat rises, and upper floors in a glass-heavy urban townhome also absorb more radiant heat from the roof. Adjusting dampers, checking airflow at each register, and verifying that the system is correctly sized for the total square footage can resolve this.

Yes. A ductless mini-split air conditioner is a practical solution for a Galleria townhome room that is not adequately served by the existing duct system. The indoor handler mounts on the wall and connects to an outdoor unit through a small refrigerant line, providing independent temperature control for that space without modifying the rest of the system.

It can. Condenser units in dense urban environments like the Galleria operate in higher ambient temperatures than suburban units, which means the refrigerant cycle runs at higher pressures and the compressor works harder. Over time, this additional strain can shorten equipment life compared to the same unit installed in a shaded suburban location. Annual maintenance that includes coil cleaning and refrigerant level checks helps offset this.
