Air conditioning contractor in Memorial Area, TX

The Memorial Area is an established residential corridor west of downtown Houston, running along Memorial Drive and encompassing neighborhoods including Hunters Creek Village, Piney Point Village, Bunker Hill Village, Hedwig Village, and Spring Valley Village. The housing stock here is predominantly large single-family homes, many of which were originally built in the 1950s through 1970s and have since been extensively renovated or replaced with new construction on the same lots. This renovation cycle creates a specific AC challenge: a newly rebuilt home on a 1960s lot may have a modern high-efficiency system, while the neighboring original home still runs equipment from the 1990s. Large home footprints in Memorial, often exceeding 4,000 square feet, require carefully sized multi-zone systems to maintain consistent temperatures across all areas of the house.

Multi-Zone AC Service for Memorial's Large Renovated Homes

Memorial Area homes are large, and large homes need multi-zone AC systems to maintain consistent temperatures from the front rooms to the back of the house. A single-zone system in a 4,000-plus square foot Memorial home will cool the area nearest the thermostat and leave distant rooms uncomfortable. We assess the full floor plan and duct layout before recommending any system, whether it is a repair, a replacement, or a new installation in a renovated property.

The teardown-rebuild cycle in Memorial creates a specific installation challenge. A new home built on a 1960s lot may have a modern open floor plan with high ceilings and large windows, all of which change the cooling load significantly compared to the original structure. Equipment sized for the old home will not perform correctly in the new one. We perform a load calculation based on the actual new construction before specifying any equipment.

We serve Memorial Area homeowners with the same professionalism and integrity we bring to every job. You receive a written estimate, a clear contract, and final payment only after the work is complete and you are satisfied. We do not guess at what your system needs, and we do not recommend work that is not warranted.

Every service, available in Memorial Area, TX

Air conditioning installation and sales are active in the Memorial Area because the ongoing renovation and teardown-rebuild cycle means new systems are regularly needed in homes that have been substantially reconfigured. Air conditioning repair is equally common in the original homes that have not been rebuilt, where 1990s-era equipment is reaching the end of its service life after many years of Houston-area runtime. Maintenance agreements are a strong fit for Memorial Area homeowners because large homes with multi-zone systems have more components to monitor and more points of failure than a standard single-zone residential system. Mini-split air conditioning is a practical solution for Memorial Area properties with detached guest houses, pool houses, or home offices that are not connected to the main home's duct system.

I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a professional and honest A/C repair service. Our outside unit was not working and our house reached 89 degrees. Mario was able to come out the same day I called him and get our unit working. We just bought our house last year and he was able to educate us on the age of our system and recommended when we should think about getting it replaced since we bought an older home and the outside unit is definitely aged. We have a home warranty program but in the future we will be calling Machorro Multiservices for our A/C needs.

This was my first time to work with Primo. They were on time as scheduled. They prepped the work area to protect the furniture and carpeting and cleaned up afterwards. they were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about our needs and in the installation of our new unit. Should we have need for an additional unit in the future we will certainly use them.

Absolutely outstanding service from Primo Air Master. The first company we called said that the blower motor died and that our unit was too old to repair. They gave us an estimate for it to be completely replaced for $5500-$7500. We called Mario for a second opinion and he found that the blower motor was fine and that the problem was actually the capacitor. He made that repair and completed a summer service on the unit for a fraction of the cost. What stands out more than the repair and the cost saving is their INTEGRITY. They are experts providing legitimate repairs instead of companies scamming customers with unnecessary new equipment, expensive service plans, and working on commission. Additionally, they were responsive, timely, and friendly. Don’t be fooled by those larger companies because this smaller business will take better care of you.

Primo Air Masters has serviced my family's home for many years. Mr Mario Machorro and his staff has always done an outstanding job on my family's HVAC needs. The technicians are very professional and courteous, and they do an excellent job. I would highly recommend this company to my family and friends (and already have).

Air Conditioning Contractor FAQ for Memorial Area, TX

Common questions from Memorial Area, TX customers about our services, process, and coverage.

Possibly. Removing interior walls to create an open floor plan changes how air moves through the home and increases the cooling load in the open areas. If the existing system was sized for the original compartmentalized layout, it may struggle to maintain temperature in the new open space. A load calculation based on the renovated floor plan will tell you whether the current equipment is adequate or needs to be resized.

Large Memorial Area homes benefit from multi-zone AC systems that allow different areas of the house to be controlled independently. A single thermostat controlling the entire home will always leave some rooms too warm and others too cold. Zoning dampers, multiple air handlers, or a combination of ducted and ductless equipment can address this, and the right solution depends on your home's specific layout.

Yes. A ductless mini-split air conditioner is the standard solution for detached structures in the Memorial Area that are not served by the main home's duct system. Pool houses, guest quarters, and home offices all qualify. Installation requires only a small penetration through the wall for refrigerant lines and does not affect the main home's existing system.

A 1990s system in a large Memorial Area home has logged many years of Houston-area runtime and likely uses a refrigerant type that is no longer manufactured. As parts become scarce, repair costs increase, and the risk of a complete system failure during peak summer heat grows. We can assess the current condition and give you an honest comparison of continued repair costs versus replacement, so you can make the decision that makes the most financial sense.
